Responsibilities of the Department to perform both at local, national, and international levels in accordance with the vision and the mission of Turkish National Defence University (TNDU). to determine the media, public relations and publicity policies in line with the aims and objectives of the Rectorate of TNDU and its schools, and to develop projects in order to represent the corporate identity of the university, to use the right media tools and methods for the printed and visual presentation of the TNDU, to attend the fairs and activities, and to cooperate with other institutions, to monitor the news regarding the TNDU in the press and broadcast media, to determine the principles for the official website of the Rectorate of TNDU, to operate and keep up to date in accordance with these principles, to facilitate coordination between the TNDU and the media institutions, to organize press conferences and to support various departments and schools within the university on these subjects, to plan for the ceremonies for special occasions, memorial days, official and religious holidays which are to be celebrated by the Rectorate of TNDU, to coordinate all the activities with the related authorities, and to make sure all the activities have been performed without any flaws, to plan and perform the opening and graduation ceremonies for the War Colleges, the Military Academies, and the NCO Vocational HE Schools, to carry out all the protocol activities of the Rectorate of TNDU at domestic and international levels, to carry out all the activities of meeting, welcoming, hosting, and sending-off of high ranking bureaucrats, ministerial guests, and national or international delegations in İstanbul Garrison in accordance with the directives and instructions from the Ministry of Defence, to present official guests visiting the Rectorate of TNDU materials such as commemorative objects, plates, gifts, etc., to provide the personnel support from the Rectorate of TNDU to attend the funeral rites for the martyred, veterans, and retired military personnel, to provide photography and video film services regarding the protocol activities, and to provide responses to the requests for information coming through the channel of Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications in accordance with the Law on the Right to Information Numbered 4982.
