    Air Brigadier General Ender KARTAL

     

          Air Brigadier General Ender KARTAL was born in Samsun. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul, he began his education at the Air Force Academy in 1988, graduating in 1992.

        He started his flight training at the Second Main Jet Base Command in 1992, and his Anti-Aircraft Officer Basic Training at the Air Defence School Command in 1993 and completed this training in 1994.  

          He served as Team and Company Commander at the Air Corps Schools and Technical Training Central Command Anti-Aircraft Battalion Command between 1994-2001 and as Company Commander at the 7th Main Jet Base Command between 2001-2003. He then graduated from the Air Force Academy, where he trained as a student officer between 2003-2005, with the rank of Staff Captain in 2005.
    He acted as Plans and Training Officer at the Strategic Research Center of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces between 2005-2006, as Anti-Aircraft Battalion Commander at the 4th Main Jet Base Command between 2006-2009 and as Project Officer in Turkish Air Force Command P. P. between 2009-2013. During this duty, he received training at the Armed Forces Academy between 2009-2010 and at the Karachi/Pakistan Air Force Academy between 2010-2011. He served as the Armed Forces Attaché in Beijing/People's Republic of China between 2013-2016, and the National Defence University (NDU) Air NCO Vocational School Commander between 2016-2019.
     
        He was promoted to Brigadier General with the decree of the Supreme Military Council in 2019 and served as the Commander of the Air Corps Schools and Technical Training Central Command. He was appointed as the Director of the NDU Air War College with the Presidential Decree approved on August 25, 2021.
     
          Brigadier General Ender KARTAL is married to Ayşegül KARTAL and speaks English.
