Assist. Prof. Dr. Mürsel DOĞRUL

      Born in the Hadim/Konya in 1991, he completed his primary and secondary education in Konya and then graduated from the Department of International Relations at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University in 2014. He completed his undergraduate degree by studying in Romania for a semester within the framework of the Erasmus Program. He was accepted to one-month internship programs at the Ministry of EU Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013. He commenced his graduate studies at Necmettin Erbakan University (International Relations) in 2015. He was selected for the AENFIS Language Academy team in Barcelona and spent three months there in 2016. He received his master's degree in International Relations from Necmettin Erbakan University with a thesis titled "The Counter-Terrorism Policy of Japan" in 2017, and he began his Ph.D. studies at the National Defence University, ATASAREN International Relations and Regional Studies Program in the same year. He graduated from this program in July 2021 with his thesis titled "The Middle East in Japanese Foreign Policy: Political Economy of Energy". Dr. Doğrul worked as an Instructor at Necmettin Erbakan University between 2018 and 2022. Instantaneously, he held the positions of Academic Expert at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Advisor to the President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). He has published numerous scholarly and scientific works on Japanese foreign and security policies. In addition to Japanese Foreign and Energy Policies, Dr. Doğrul undertakes academic research on international security and literature growth of the international relations. He has advanced competence in English and intermediate fluency in Japanese.
