    CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES


    To monitor and coordinate activities for social and cultural improvement and more active use of spare time, based on the preferences of the students of Institutes, Faculties and Colleges within the body of the University of National Defense, which are in service to improve the sense of unity and cooperation, morale and well-being. In this context;

     

              -To coordinate activities on artistic, educational  fields (symposia, panels, conferences,  etc.),

              -To facilitate cooperation of writers, artists, scientists, universities, non-governmental organizations, etc.,

              -To coordinate educational branch activities of students,

              -To organize and hold temporary and permanent exhibitions to form and protect the cultural and historical identity,

              -To monitor and work on activities of musical choirs and theater companies. In this regard;

     

    1.A discount for theater plays which are held monthly is provided for spouses and children of military personnel, as part of an arrangement with state theaters. As part of this, participation of the personnel to the play titled “Soup of the Day” has been facilitated. Announcements regarding theater plays are made to the personnel employed in MSU Rectorship through ELMEK (Outlook), and requests to participate are being taken. Tickets for the plays are delivered to personnel by hand.

    2.As part of the protocol made with Besiktas District Directorate of National Education, courses held within Besiktas Directorate of Public Education Centers are also held locally  as per the demand of the personnel and their families, and courses in Table 1 have been gradually opened as from December 13, 2017. Courses in Table 2 on the other hand, will continue to be opened as the needs of educational material are provided as per the capabilities of Besiktas Directorate of Public Education Centers. Also, in the event that there is additional demand towards courses which are present in the Directorate web page, efforts to open the courses demanded will continue along the year.
